Are You Eating Enough?

I want to ask you a serious question…are you eating enough? Are you eating enough every single day to nourish both your mental and physical body? Are you eating enough to THRIVE? Are you eating enough to replenish all that you use up each day?

Let me tell you…No good comes out of under-eating & under-nourishing your mind and body.

When I was under-eating (and over-exercising), I was physically and mentally miserable. My body started giving me an array of signs and symptoms, shouting out and and saying “Hey Pheebs! You are damaging me, please stop”. I had lost my period, was often bloated, irritable, often head-achey, fatigued, highly strung, more prone to getting sick, my appetite was all over the place, my skin wasn’t great, I was confirmed anaemic (most likely had numerous other nutritional deficiencies as well), was constantly anxious, had issues sleeping, swung between constipation and diarrhoea, cried often for no apparent reason… and the list goes on.⁠

Today I encourage you to check in with what you are eating every day. Are you eating ENOUGH and regularly? Are you eating a variety of foods? Are you satiated after each meal (i.e. feel satisfied and full)? Are you eating three filling main meals per day + plus snacks when needed?

Or do you find yourself restricting foods? Skipping meals? Trying not to eat too much? Ignoring those hunger signals?⁠ Portion sizing? Counting calories? Always on some kind of “diet”? Always thinking about food?

We need to EAT FOOD. Lots of it. Every. Single. Day. ⁠I am BIG on educating individuals about the importance of nourishing themselves with enough nutrient rich foods every single day, a wide variety of them and enjoying the not so nutrient-dense foods too 🥑🥕🌶🥨🥙🌮🍱🍜🍤☕🍵🥡🍷🍎🍇🥜🥪 🍗🍖🍼🧁🎂🥚🧀🌽🥕🍯.
